Health Tip:

When you fold your pillow in half, does it open back up on it's own? If so, it's probably still good. If it doesn't it is time to go shopping for a new pillow! Replacing your pillow every 1-2 years can help make sure your head, neck and shoulders get the support they need in order to sleep comfortably. Neck support pillows (pre-shaped) can also provide more support for your neck if you are a side sleeper.

Did you know....all foods can be a part of a healthy diet? However, you have to eat them in the right amounts. Many of us don't know how big a single serving is and the rest of us still "super size" it instead of sticking to a reasonable portion. How often is your chicken dish just 3 ounces (the size of a deck of cards) or your cereal bowl filled with just 1 cup? Try these tips to get servings down to size:

  • Measure out portions for one week to learn what the serving size looks like

  • Dish out meals and snacks in single serve containers

  • Spend a little extra on pre-measured foods

  • At restaurants, when the mega-plate arrives, immediately ask the waiter to put half in a doggie bag, that way you're not tempted to eat it.

If the shoe doesn't fit.....

Trying to fit your feet in to pointy shoes can leave you with incredibly sore feet, not to mention disrupt the line of your spine. The best thing you can do for your feet is to break in new shoes before sporting them on the town.  Wearing your shoes around the house in wet socks will get them ready in no time. The dampness in your socks will soften the shoe fabric and help mold the shoes to the shape of your feet.
